Steering gear box removal

I have an 88 F150 and I lost my power steering this past weekend coming back from a race in Bowling Green. The steering gear was leaking/spraying fluid so I figured an internal seal went bad. I've purchased the new gear box and I'm wondering if I will need a special tool to remove the pitman arm from the gear box? Or will it just pop off with some force?

a small gear puller, or a pickle fork and a 3 pound sledge, it will not come of easy, spray it with a penatrating oil, and use the puller or fork, good luck
