Hello cowboycp,

A limited slip and posi-taction differential are the same thing. But all F-150's do not come with a limited slip differential, it is an option. If you are not sure that you have one, look at the back of your rear axle pumpkin, most axles with a limited slip have two metal tags sticking out from the differential cover an open differential (only one wheel gets power) will only have one. Post what you find and we can go from there.

another thing you could check is to look at your door jam sticker and see what is says under the "axle". If it has a letter and a number, then you have a LS. And if it is two numbers (like my POS! ) then it is an open.

I know an H9 indicates a 3.55 LS
Mine is a 19 3.55 open

Hope this helps, it did for me I got this info from this site too!
