Question transfer case rebuild

I am thinking about servicing my transfer case; new gaskets, seals, bearings, the whole works. I found a kit for my truck, 98 f150 with the 4.6, for $110.
My question is... is it worth the time to do myself, or should I have someone else do it for me? What kind of price can I expect for somebody else to do it? Any info will be helpful.

Thanks

Question

Are you having problems or leakage with your transfer case? If you are not having problems, I wouldn't bother with T/C unless you had over 200,000 miles.

As for labor price to have someone install new bearings, seals & gaskets (depending where you are at in North America); I would estimate $200.00 to $250.00 (U.S. dollars) if you remove T/C from vehicle and carry in to a rebuilder.
