Question The H9 code for 2001 supercrew axle?

What does the H9 code stand for under the axle section on the post id tag? I assume it's either the 3.55 or 3.73 rearend. Thanks

Well, if you have a 4.6 or 5.4 with an automatic transmission you're good to go. If you have the factory tow package, even better. Jump down to Towing and Hauling for more info.

I have a '01 S'crew, 4x4, 5.4l, 3.55 (non-ls), w/ tow package. I tow a ~5800lb travel trailer and I know it's back there.

Just make sure you get a good brake controller and weight distribution hitch and you sould be fine. Don't plan on being the first one to the top of the hills though...

Check your tag, I believe all 01 Screw 3.55 were LS.
