Question Help with Rear End Replacement

I have a 99 F150 XLT Scab with a 3L55 88 rear end that needs replacing. I would like to do a complete swap if I can fing a replacement at the local salvage yards. My questions are:

1. What makes and models would fit onto the 99? i.e 98-00 Expys and F150's

2. If I find one with rear discs (currently have drums), what other items will I need to convert to disks?? master cylinder, parking brake cable ??

I feel I am capable of replacing the rear as a complete swap but I really dont think I want to try and rebuilt the bad rear end.

Thanx for any help or info.

Mike,

Stick to rear ends from an F-150, the expy will not fit. The spring perch on the Expedition is for coil springs and the axle uses a 4 link system. You may have to replace the parking brake wires. The rest should bolt up. Do you live near Ohio? I picked up a brand new 9.75 in Ohio for less than $600.00 last year.
