My daughters focus 51k miles...getting it ready for a trip 1/2 way across the country

I like to change the air filter on this but the dealership says it a permanent/ life time air filter....
is there a filter that can be changed/serviced? and how does one get to it.

Not really fond of this factory option....I'd at least like to be able to clean it
