Probably late 2011. They seem pretty cool.

I owned 2 SHOs, an '89 and a '93. Both were a lot of fun. I wish I had kept the '93. I sold it to buy a '99 Chrysler 300M. What a mistake that was!

If you live in New York State, Michigan or on the left coast you could see them in your rear view mirror now. Those three states are doing testing. Ford has a system set up where these states and more have police on it that evaluate their stuff. Things like bullet proofing the side doors and steel plates in the backs of the front seats. Not to mention that Ford operates a operation that up fits the current Crown Vics with light packages, trunk organizers and front center consoles.

So basically its a Taurus? Either way, I like it. I'm sure the PDs out there will be dropping those puny V6 chargers and I4 Impalas like crazy

I haven't seen one yet. Have to keep an eye out because I always see cars before they are released.

Not sure if they were the new police interceptors, but there were two Taurus outside the NCHP garage, in Raleigh last week. I know they tested first gen SHOs, back when I was in college, so these could be test mules for Ford.
