Question Explorer Redesign?

I was very much interested in purchasing a 2000 Explorer, but heard there is going to be a redesign in 2001. Is this true or not?

Thadjosh9,
Yes the 01 explorer is a new design.
Ijust today saw it on a show from the Detroit autoshow. the front end has a superduty looking grill. I'm not sure about any mechanical changes.

Thagdosh - check out http://www.explorer4x4.com, they have some more information (and new pictures) of the 2001 Explorer as well as the 2001 Explorer sporttrac. I had a chance to drive the Explorer Sport trac in California at a four-wheeling event - I'm quite impressed though it'd be better with about 8 inches worth of lift, rides way too low, but thats the way most people want it I suppose...

Question

Matt,
I tried the above link and could not get it to work. Maybe you typed it in wrong? I am still looking for any pics of the 2001 Explorer Eddie Bauer. Any help would be... well helpful.
Thanks!

Question

I looked at the above site and still found nothing about the 2001 4-door Explorer. Am I doing something wrong? I also find this site to be slow and hard to navigate. I am still trying to locate any and all info about it. Blueovalnews.com has some info about it, but still no pics. Anybody else having any luck?

I know that the 2000 Explorer Sport has a new front end and interior to match the SportTrac but I have not seen any pics of the 4 door for 2001.

The 01 Explorer 4 door is suppose to look like the 00 sport and have IRS. I have also heard but it was never been confirmed that it will lose the 5.0 for the 4.6.
