2002 Windstar
Does anybody out there know where the CAM POSITION SENSOR is located on a 2002 Ford Windstar SEL 3.8 V6? Have CEL on and Autozone gave me that as the code--PO340. Thanks a bunch!!! Man I hate how they wad an engine up in a van.

Passenger's side of the engine compartment, in the valley of the block by/above the water pump.
The sensor sits on top of the synchronizer shaft. The synchro is probably what's really wrong with it anyways, not the sensor itself unless the synchronizer broke internally and wiped the sensor out.

Thanks alot Quintin, I'll attempt to find the bugger tomorrow. The sensor is only @ 15 bucks at Autozone so will see if that helps and go from there. You and Steve83 and subford seem to be the go-to guys here. Thanks again!
