Question Explorer A/C Problem

Howdy ya'll
I'm driving an 1996 Ford Explorer Limited with Automatic Temperature Control. The problem now is, that no matter what temperature is set on the display, it keeps blowing in hot air. When I switch to Max A/C it starts cooling down. But as soon as I switch back to Auto, it starts heating again.
The Unit in the dash board has been changed.

Can anybody help me please?

Thanks!

Key on, engine off. Press the floor and automatic buttons on the EATC at the same time, release, then press off. You'll see a little tracer dancing around on the screen, then a two digit code will be displayed.

Oh yeah, is the A/C compressor coming on when you have it set to A/C?

edit: Oh, duh, it cools on max. Nevermind. Me stupid.

And where's my manners, heyo from Gawga.
