Extended Warranty Ripoff
I bought a 100,000 mile 6 yr extended warranty from Warranty Gold for about $1000...
Just got an email from their lawyer that their holding company went broke and they won't honor any claims for warranties bought before July 2003...
BUT, if you go to their web site, www.warrantygold.com, they are still selling warrantied...WOW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>:

aaaw, man, that really sucks.
Just another reason for me to stick with my Ford ESPs.
If you call the dealership and moan to the salesman, financier, owner, etc, you may get them to offer you another extended service plan from another company (Ford possibly?) at a discount to compensate you for the inconvenience. If you claim they talked you into it (which I'm assuming they did) they may be willing to work with you.
