Thin Paint on front spoiler 03 STX's
Fellow STX Owners,
FYI
I had a small chip on my front spoiler that turned into full peel about the size of 2 quarters. The dealer body shop guy told me that they had saw this condition before and that FORD had a hard time getting paint to stick on the spoiler. You guys might want to take a good look your spoilers because once a rock chips it it will peel like mine did.Im pretty **** about all of my vehicles so i was kinda pissed that had to take it back because ford hasnt figured out how to make paint stick on a spoiler without it peeling after a year.

I'm not sure about what specifically the "rear spoiler" is, but on my STX the front plastic piece that is under the metal of the bumper has a couple of rock chips already and they are easy to get.
I've been wondering if I could find someone to coat it with rhino liner and match the body color or something. I can't see any way of preventing these chips aside from something more resilient than paint.

Got the vehicle back today and the paint seems thicker and not as thin as the factory paint. Something Ford should have done from the factory.
