Thanks decoy,

It is cool because it is not your average color.

NDI,

Your friend could very well work in my building. Much of the techs are either here are in Conyers, GA unless he is in a CO.

strange paint color

Think that paint is strange?
Ford must have used up every left over (paint, parts, etc.) when they were running the last 2003 models.
Refer to my post about the last 12 '03 xlt sports.
Seems they produced some unique combinations of equipment and colors during the "last" days.

Maybe these trucks will become 2003 1/2 models, like the 64 1/2 model mustangs of old.

I am pretty sure that Ford offered the Burgandy paint early in the '03 model year for trucks other than STX or Heritage, and then at some point they dropped it. They must of had some left over paint at the end of the model year and decided to offer it again.

If you check out "Jaguar's" gallery, he has an FX4 SuperCrew that is Burgandy. I am pretty sure he got his at the begining of the '03 model year. Here is a link:

except its not Burgundy Red Metallic its merlot metallic or pearl. the color code is FX the burgundy touch isnt even close. that is why i had to have the ford dealer order me a speical touch up. they dont stock it since it is a rare color.at least that is up here anyway. i tried 5 different dealer ships and none of them stocked it.

Oh, sorry about that, I had just re-read the original posting. I didn't realize that you guys found out it was different than Burgandy.
