Angry Im pissed with my 2003 STX

I purchased a Silver STX on July 31,2003 with the 4.6.Very nice vehicle,BUT the check engine light came on 2 days after the puchase.I have had the torque converter replaced, the transmisson PCM replaced, the shift solenoid replaced, and as of 8/12/2003 the dealership and FORD hotline has decided to replace the whole tranny! With, get this a whopping 145 miles of which i only put 70 miles the rest was from the tech test driving the vehicle.

Wow!

It sounds as if you got a lemon. Haven't heard of anybody having these problems this early with their truck. I guess even Ford has problems, maybe they will get it straightend out for ya and the truck will be flawless then!

Good Luck!

Adam

Lemon law

Do you have a lemon law where you are? Around
here, Massachusetts, if you bring a vehicle back for the
same thing 3 times and they fail to fix it, it's considered
a lemon and you get a new one or they buy it back from
you. Pretty sure that's how it works.
Good luck with it however it works out.

I have got 8500 miles on mine and not any major probs, I went through the lemon law in Tennessee with my 02 Explorer and won, I no it Sux but with yours it seems that the dealership and Ford are trying to fix it. My Explorer went in 5 times for it cycling in and out of 4 wheel drive under WOT and they kept saying it was normal, that after they re-built the tranfer case at 6700 miles.
Good luck and I hope they get it fixed.

Thats great! Hopefully it was just a factory defect, and you will have a long and happy time w/ your truck w/ no problems from now on

I hope they got the problem fixed. Glad they threw in the extra warranty in for good measure.
