Angry Frame Flex in 4X4's-resulting in dents

Beginning to have some doubts about my '99 SC XLT 4x4 ORP. Had it about 6 weeks now, finally got it offroad this weekend. Nothing too bad, mostly beach. Definitely nothing that should have been bad enough to flex the frame to the point of denting the back of the cab with the bed!!! I noticed the dents while unloading the duck hunting gear out of the truck after I got home. Two dents, right on the outer edges of the bed. I have a feeling me and Ford are about to go round and round. Leaking rear slider, power steering pump whine, belt squeaking already, passenger power window clunking on the way up and down, and all in only 6 weeks!! Any one else seen these dents, and if so, what was the outcome when you took it to the dealer? TIA

Barrett

bearintex,

Good luck with your "Off Road Dimples". Not all 4x4 get them. My 97 had them and I think of them as a badge of honor. My 00 has yet to earn them.

I too have the dents and was a little irritated but haven't talked to the dealer or anyone else with ford about it. I posted in the off-road board looking for others with this problem.
