Question Calling 98Screamer

My wife waffled the front bumper on my truck and I was looking to change over to the 4WD/Expy bumper with the colored pad on top. Could you tell me what application you got yours from, what do I need to get, and will it fit my 97 ?

BTW, I intend to paint the pad and possibly the lower valence silver to match the lower paint and fender flares. Because of this I chose to let the body shop do the work so a detailed parts list would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

Oops, this one slipped by me. I used one from a 98 Expedition, I just kind of lucked out that way. The 2wd Expy bumpers have the different lower valance without the tow hook holes. It bolts right on with just the two frame to bumper brackets from the foglight bumper. all the bolts are the same sizes, etc.. So, what you need is the bumper, the frame to bumper brackets(different from standard bumper), the top pad, and the lower valance. You will be charged anywhere from $80 to $100 to get the top piece painted. Good luck, and enjoy the new style,,,,98

Oh, don't forget foglights or the black filler plugs

Heeheehe, thanx 98SCREAMER. I picked up the truck last Thursday and they did it just the way I wanted it. I think the top pad really ties in nicely with the flares and lower paint. I'll try to figure out the whole picture posting concept when I get them back from the lab.

Thanx again for your help.

Sorry, I haven't been watching the boards as closely lately. I'd love to see a pic of your truck! Did you go with the plugs or fogs? Did you end up painting the lower valance as well?,,,,98

98SCREAMER, I did'nt paint the lower valence becuase I thought it would be a magnet for dirt and road tar being in silver. I got the plugs too becuase I know they wont crack and chip like the fogs could.

I'm still not used to the different look but I'm really beging to feel like I should fill in the center opening with something.

I'll post the pics if I can figure out how ............. if I do maybe I'll put a gallery together!

I've been debating with myself for some time over what to fill the holes with. There's an ad in Truckin that has the billet fillers for them. At least they still run them in the ad, that is. I guess I'll break down and buy the fogs for $75 a piece. That's the lowest I've seen them for.,,,,,98

Lightbulb Fog Lights

LWM has the "take off" fog lights listed on there site http://www.lwm.cc/pages/body.html for $40.00 a set.
I've read that the wiring is existing and you just need a switch w/ fog control.
I love my fogs w/switch mod!
Look cool and very helpful on dark roads and for after hour wheelin' adventures.

Wow! They sure do! Thanks CDeHeer97! That should get me started I was thinking of making them strobe holders if I don't use them as fogs. Now I just have to order them. Why is Ford the only truck we can't buy euro diamond fogs for?????? Someone needs to step up and produce them, lol!,,,,98

Oh no, you guys are a bad influence! I'm going to look under my bumper for the foglight wiring. Even if I dont install them right away I think $40. is too good a price to pass up.

Thanx for the link CDeHeer97.
