I'm going to experiment with some different levels of tint, so I was wondering what kind I should use? Does anyone have a recommendation for quality film that won't crack or turn purple?

Question SOCAL Tint Standards?????

I didn't see anyone post from Southern California.

I think tinting the front of my Screw would not only look great but would help keep the interior cooler and less sundamaged.

The only problem I would have is that I can drive through 5 towns in 15 minutes around here and each has their own PD.

Anyone from Socal have problems with their Tint????

My Dad got pulled over by the cops when we were on vacation for having tinted windows that looked too dark. The cop pulled him over and my Dad did'nt know what for. And the cop said, "Can you roll your window up a little bit?" Then he pulled out his meter and checked the tint on the side windows. First he said they were to dark, then he put a white piece of paper(the ticket) up to the window. Then he said "naw, you can see the paper through the tint, so your ok on the side windows." Then he checked the strip across the top of the windshield. It was legal too, but he said it came down to far. It only came down about 6 inches! What a bunch of *****! He said to get that taken care of or if he see's him again, he'll write him a ticket. What an a$$. This was out of State, so we did'nt do anything about it. And to beat it all the cop said, " have nice day." Some poeple are #@%$&^! ignorant!

i have a doctors note...
i have 5% on the front 2 and on the rear windows i have 20% and a layer of 5% over the 20% which makes it impossible to see in and barely out of...

i get stopped frequently and also get searched...but i cant blame them...
if i were a cop and saw a 19 y/o in my truck i would think that something was up too....
