Gaps on the bed rails

Does anyone know why the bed rails have gaps at the ends closest to the cab???

Poor fit and finish. They shouldn't be doing that. It's almost like their from a different model. I would have to say that I have not seen that on any of hundreds or thousands of Fords I have seen since 1996.

If still under warranty, get your dealer to replace them.

J-150,

From what other Flareside owners have told me this is how all of theirs look also. Maybe I will post this in the Lightning section since it dow not seem like many people view this particluar forum. By the way, my truck is well out of its factory warranty. It's a '98 with 40,000 miles.

I've got a 97 flareside and the rails fit perfectly. Ditto what J150 said, get the dealer to make it right.

Good luck.
