What type of grill?
I have a '01 F-150 XLT 4x2 and it has a chrome grille and mirrors. I see other '01 F-150's with the body color grille and mirrors. What determines what truck get what grille? I like the chrome, just wanted to know Ford's rhyme or reason. -Les

Here in NC they call it the "Southern Appearance Package" and its listed on the sticker that way
When my truck arrived it came with the chrome surround grille and mirror covers, it wasn`t supposed to. They swapped out the grille and surround for a color keyed one no charge and I decided to keep the chrome mirrors covers.
The Ford Site listed the following on a 01 model for ordering....
Power Mirrors (Chrome Cap 4X2, Color-Keyed Cap 4X4)

Linetest,
I purchased the step bars, bed rails and fog light kit all at Truck Outfitters on Roxboro road. They are located near the Walmart and across the street from the pawn shop. Look for the little brown building with all the ARE fiberglass covers and caps on the racks placed near the building. Their prices on some stuff are a little inflated but he can get you most anything you want.

I opted to put them on myself and save the install charge. Its real easy to do and takes about 1/2 hr as they are the no drill type fitting in existing holes in the truck
