Angry Ford removed the Door Crack Preventative Fix!!!! Door Crack TSB Superseded

I took my truck in yesterday to have the door crack preventative fix 'B' accomplished per TSB 01-2-6 and it was their first one they've attempted. They had some questions, so they called Ford and Ford said they deleted/removed the preventative fix from the TSB. The TSB was superseded by TSB 01-18-2, dated 10 Sep 01. I have a copy of the TSB and they did remove Procedure "B" and what was Procedure "C" has now become Procedure "B". Bottom line, there is no longer a preventative fix procedure. The only thing they'll do is fix an existing crack even though it is the same fix! Those of us that don't have a crack currently are screwed!

Has anyone else heard or been aware of this.

This pisses me off as I have 34,000 miles on my truck and I know it'll crack soon after I go over 36,000!

Please let me know where we go from here.

That kills me. I've got 34K miles and was taking it in a week from now to get the prventitive fix!
Great. I cross my fingers that my truck is a "golden" one when it comes to the cracks.

Door cracks

MY truck came back from the body shop on 10/1/2001. Drivers door crack was welded and area was repainted, I think the block was installed inside. The passenger door was not cracked but they must have put a block inside because there was glue stuck to the glass. The body shop this truck was sent to stinks. . It took 8 days to get the truck back.
