Question Removing ORP decals

Has anyone removed the 4x4 and ORP decals after a year or two? I have always wanted to remove the decals but never got around to it. I purchased the truck new in August of 1999 and am concerned that if I do it now there will be paint fade or discoloration. The truck is Amazon Green.

I bought a used 99 about a month ago--the 1st thing I did was peel the 4x4 off road decals off the side & put down some wax on the truck--I can't see even a shadow of where the decals were. Just peel, clean the spot, and wax.

You might try and heat the decals with a heat gun or hair dryer... just to loosen the adhesive so they will peel off in one piece. If there is any discoloration (doubtful), you may use some fine polishing compound to smooth the area and then give the panel a coat or two of good wax.

I have an Amazon Green flareside also - the decals are a bit cheesy and I may peel mine off as well.
