2003 gas tank

Okay so I see they make a 24.5 and a 30 gallon gas tank for my 2003 Ford F-150. I have the 24.5 gallon one on it. But it rotted out so I need a new one but for $10 more I can get the 30 gallon one. Will the fuel pump/gauge work in it ? Will the straps mount in the same spot ? And will it fit under the truck ? It's a reg. cab short bed. Thanks !

I'd imagine the 30 gallon version is for long beds. How much of a challenge are you up for? You would probably be re-engineering strap mounts, for starters. As you can see from the links below, the 30-gallon version is nine inches longer. Get your ruler out and see if you have enough room underneath.

Correct. Short beds are 24.5 on 4wd and 25 on 2wd.
