My dealer's service manager refuses to do a preventative fix on my uncracked passenger door(driver door is cracked but will get fixed). So he gave me the customer service number for Ford Canada(1-800-565-3673). I called them, gave my Vin number and told them what happened with the dealer. I gave them the TSB number and she put me on hold so she can look on it more. Then she said that because the passenger door isn't crack yet, they don't need to do a preventative fix even though its still in warranty. And if it cracks later, tough luck! So I ranted like crazy, emphasizing the word, "preventative", and she said there is nothing she can do. She told me to call the service manager back and to tell him to call the "warranty hotline" that dealers only know about. Called the service manager and left a message. No call back yet.

Anybody in Canada has better success? What would be the best way to fight this? Its not a matter of showing the TSB cuz I've shown it already.

 

I'd try to find another dealer. The two that I spoke with knew about the preventative fix. I'm pretty sure that Ford has a "kit" out for the repair of cracked and not cracked doors. Good luck.
