Headlight adjustment

How much did you have to adjust your headlights after installing a leveling kit? I installed a 2.5" kit on my truck & the headlights do not seem to be as bright now. I know how to adjust them, but do not know how much I should. Is there a guideline for the proper adjustment somewhere?

Thanks.

Just point the truck at a wall or garage door. Put some masking tape or something on the wall where they should be pointing. Then slowly adjust them until they are right. As for specific height, maybe just go to a parking lot with smaller cars and a tape measure to get a general height of where the rear view mirrors are.

Correct Ford alignment is measure the height from the ground to the center of the headlight. Park your truck 25' from a wall and your lights cutoff should be 3" under what your previous measurement was

I found the procedure in my owners manual. My ride is an 08 but I'm sure yours would have it also
