My 06 FX4 SCAB passenger door power window has been getting slower and slower powering up. Well now it stops about 1/4 of the way up and thats it. It powers down like it's new, but on the way back up it's a POS! I have the panel off, and now i'm looking for what could be the problem. I would like to try and fix it myself before i give in to the dealer to rip me off. Any answers this or how to's will be welcome. Thanks Al

 

Hi Al , maybe these northern vehicles have the same glitches . I live in toronto and am having a similar problem with my 05 SCREW. Powers down like new but now the toggle wont even move down to let it go down. If I hear anything I will let you know.

Hey Roonski, I just fixed it this weekend, for now i guess. I bought a can of Silicone and sprayed it down the track the window slides up and down into. Mainly between the window/felt seal track by the mirror. It goes up great now, down was never a problem. Try it and see if it helps yours from sticking. The Leafs look like they are going to be a tough bunch this year, my Wings better keep they're head up. Cheers Al

 

Hey Al I fixed the problem today ,removed top part of arm rest/ handle and exposed master controls for windows/locks opened up small black control box and found that one of the pins at the bottom of the toggle was melted in place, no wonder it wouldnt move . Anyway, eighty dollars later at the dealer for a new control its up and running. I would have preferred your solution. As for the Leafs....... I was over at the new rink with the guys from my firehall watching them practise they look the same as last year stay with the Wings pal they are a class organization with a lot of depth and a good front office . Leave the Lafs for us poor suckers in the city.
