got a 08 xlt with 3000 on her n i went through a car wash couple days ago n cracked my windshield on the passenger side near the top. i happen to work at the car wash and took it to see if the warranty covered my windshield it doesnt so im going back today to go yell and talk to there manager cuz it should its a 08!!! if that dont work out im sure a car wash has good insurance so i will go to my manager (yes i work at the car wash) and tell him what happened and hopefully go through there insurance if he says no then i will jsut take it through my insurance but man i am peed off

 

What caused the crack? I would be worried the tunnel banged the truck. Check your state and see if there is a zero deductible on the windshield, that is how it is here in FL. Easy squeezy to get a new, free windshield.

I will never take my truck through and automatic carwash...seen too many damaged. But yeah my insurance company offers free windshield replacement on certain plans...so might want to check and see if yours offers it also.

 

Car warranty doesn't cover yours, or any screw ups. You go and yell at the Ford dealership, they will laugh you out of the building. If the windshield let go and fell in, or something crazy like that, warranty MIGHT cover it. If I wrecked my truck, should warranty cover it ??? I would reread your warranty pamphlet if I were you, get a better understanding of how it works. This "act of god" as most companies say, is what your insurance is for. Being a new truck, I would assume you have full coverage. Make a claim, get it fixed, be on your way. Do you have video proof, or any proof that the carwash actually did the damage ? Maybe you caught a rock while driving, didn't notice, and then saw it after the wash. The "wasn't there before" line doesn't work. Promise. Its human nature. Customers often have some off ball complaint after anyone has worked on, or even touched their car. Kinda like they are "looking" for something.
