Argent Rear Bumper or Chrome Swap?

Does anyone know where to get the argent colored rear bumper? Or know if anyone who is doing a chrome swap?

I've been pondering a chrome swap, as I can get the chrome front and rear bumpers for the same price as a new rear argent colored bumper.

I'd prefer to just leave it argent... but I do kind of like the chrome perspective.

Gots me stuck in a rock and a hard place on this one...

Is the argent color just our stock XL gray? If so, maybe eBay, but as far as new, the bumpers do not come pre painted. OE or after market. All of them come only primed. Someone dented my bumper a few months back and it was over $700.00 for parts, paint and labor at my local Ford collision center.

All in all, you might be better off going with chrome. They're like $199.00 at LMC Truck or whatever it's called.

I know... I don't have a clue why they would put a painted (more expensive) bumper on the XL series.

I looked everywhere I couldn't find one that was new or even used that was in good condition.

I can get both a new front and rear chrome bumper for less than a primed rear bumper!

I saw the $199 one on LMC, and I did some searching, and I found the rear at $169 and the front at like $189 in chrome!

Plus I saw a F150 long bed with the chrome rims and chrome toolbox, almost exactly like mine, with the chrome bumpers (XLT), and damn... it looked sharp!

As an added bonus, it will coordinate perfectly when I get my chrome brush guard and chrome side steps.

I still am going to keep the fascia and grill black.. it just looks good that way. The accent of the black and chrome look very good.

If I was you and was going to go chrome, I'd get the color matched front bumper pad too. Now I'm pissed though, as your truck with look better then mine haha. I've always wanted to swap to chrome bumpers, add the PTM bumper pad and get a chrome bar style grille, door handles, etc.

What happened to your bumper anyway?

Sucks. I was parked illegally, towed and somehow they dented my rear bumper. They paid the full price though. It was nice not having to use insurance.

If it's coming out of your pocket, definitely go after market. The difference in price between that and OE is insane. My OE rear bumper was $600 vs. after market being under $200.

Yeah, I'm probably going to go after the DPW if the price of redoing the quarter panel to the bed is greater than $1000.

Personally, the bumper I could care less about.

Which to save costs I am doing the bed removal myself, plus the bumpers. I am going to put the bed on my trailer and drop it off so I can do the yearly repaint of the frame on my truck with ease.

Which reminds me... I can get those pesky holes fixed from the stacks...
