Advise on paint work....PLEASE READ.

I have a 2000 4x4 xl supercab 4.6l. I live in canada and rust proff every year, However the bottoms of my doors on the inside are rust, along with the bottom of my tailgate on the inside. I was planing to get a wire brush for the griding, and taking these are down, and just painting them to stop the rotting where it is starting, I am not to **** about how it gets done, just wondering, after I get the surface prepared, what kind of paint should I use and should I use a primier, no bondo needed, just want to nip it in the butt before it gets out of control. I was even thinking of just tapping off the areas and using black tremclad cause those spots are not visibil. I just don't want o get into it and then the rust comes through vey soon.
Thanks for the advice.

Rust is cancer... even if you fix it, it will come back... your best bet is to replace the doors and tailgate

But if you go ahead and fix them youre gonna have to use bodyfiller. Using a wire brush isnt gonna do anything. Youre going to have to grind the rust off and then fill over it and smooth it(otherwise cut out that section of metal and weld in a new piece, but youll still need filler for that) Use some sort of sealer or self etching primer then a high build primer then base and clear
