i just bought a quad (honda 400ex) and was wondering what the rated weight capacity of my tail gate is. i just wanted to make sure it can hold the weight of the quad while i am going up the ramps. i know the tundras had a big problem with tailgate weight capacities, but just double checking that the f150 can take the weight.

i have a 2000 150
i would guess the quad weighs around 500lbs

The tundra is a POS truck. Your FORD on the other hand will be fine to do what you are going to.
