Bumper straightening?

The nice chrome bumper on the back of my truck now sports a dent caused by backing into a post (damn distracting short skirts!). It's not too bad, I'm wondering if it could be straightened out somehow. Are there shops that can do this?

If its slanted downward, you could get lucky with a shop jack and a piece of post wood, line it up under and jack it up, stick a 1' level on it, will eventually start bending back to level, and once its level drop it, job done.

Thanks DW. I thought about trying something like that, but am worried that it might not form back to the exact same shape / form(it would be exaggerated by the chrome). I was hoping there might be a shop out there that had a more exact method of doing this. Anybody know of one?

I had the same thing on my rear bumper and googled chrome bumper repair, sorry say it's a no go. They cant get the dent out without the chrome cracking. I am thinking about getting some sort of sticker to cover it up.

most shops have frame machines that can pull in any direction, you might be able to talk them into trying to bend it a bit for you, but there is no way to get it perfectly back to normal
