Wagg Brush/Grill Guard Install Help!
I have a 2003 F-150 XL 4.2L 2x4 Supercab. I bought a Wagg brush guard off this guy on Craigslist, not sure if anyone has heard of that or not. But any ways, I figured it would bolt up to mine, but sence it was on $45 and i was trying to get home I for got to pay attention to what model his was and if it was 2x4 or 4x4. Also not sure if there were other brackets that the guy didn't know he had to take off to go with it or not. So now I'm stuck with this brush guard and can't mount on my truck. 1)So my question is does anyone have a Wagg brush guard on a truck like mine?
2) Does anyone know what if there is any different in the brackets for the different models?
3) Does any one have any pictures they cant send that would help?
Thinking about just cutting and fabing. Tried to contact Wagg but no reply. Any help is better than no help at all. Thanks.
Im not 100% sure! But I put a brush gaurd on mine (not the same brand) but anyways. It was a pain to line up! and it was a kinda a tight fit
If you can post some pictures of everything you have we could help more! (brackets and everything)

Wagg Brush/Grill Guard Install Help!
I will try to get some pictures taken and posted on here. I have tried to take off the bumper and see if the brackets would line up and couldn't figure it out. I'm not stupid when it comes to doing modifications and other stuff to cars and trucks but this has me stumped. Thanks for the help. Pictures coming soon.
I really hope someone can use these pictures to help me out. should i just call it a lose? Are there brackets i can get cheap? or just fab up something?

first since you have a 4x2 you dont have the holes in your valance (the ones the tow hooks come though on 4x4's, id recomend you get one if you want it to look right... if you dont really care you can jusst cut the one you have! im gonna go look at mine for you real quick!
Right now I'm just trying to get it mounted. I need it mounted soon because my wife it getting ready to get out of the Navy and we are moving back to the east coast. If I can get it mounted that will be one less thing I have find a place in the truck for. Does yours look anything like mine? If so can you take pictures of it and how it's mounted to the frame? Thanks for the help. I'm so glad I found this site. lol
Was the truck you got this off a F150 and if it was... was it a 97-03 (same body style as yours) Why i ask is because most grill gaurds ive seen on the 97-03 f150 look like mine with the angled verticle beams!
and i went and looked at the brackets on mine and they look nothig alike! NOTHING! But if you cant cut and weld then you can easily make it work! The Brackets attach on the outside of the frame...
1. measure from outside of the BG (brush gaurd) at the lowest point!
2. Now Take that measurement and line it out on your lower valance, Make sure the line is center both vertically and horizontally
3. then use those lines to make to squarish cuts in the lower valance!
4. Have someone or thing hold the bumper itself inplace while you make Fake brakety out of cardboard!
5. After you have a template of the bracket you will need see if you can in any way make the brackets you have work!
6. If not then time to cute and weld till you get them the way you need them!
7. Remeber when they make these BG's they have several points at which they have bolts thus makin them more sturdy!

Yeah it was an F-150. I believe it was a 2000, I believe it was an XLT. Mine is an XL. I'll bolt the brackets up the way I think they got and lable them then you can tell me if it's the same idea you have. I don't care about the work. Anything to get this thing on. I like the look of the truck with the BG. Just something about it. And only paying $45 for the thing I got to find a way to mount it. It's not ever day you find a nice one for that price.
Yeah i though i got a deal on mine $150... it was a $400 brush gaurd in stores and on the net! so yours was a good pick up even if it doesnt fit! But if it was on a F150 then it will fit on yours! Thats a garuntee!
I want to put a thread up on the next mood that I want to do with the truck, but thought I'd ask you. You've been help so far. Do you know anything bout changing a 4x2 to a 4x4? Also swaping out a supercab to a crew cab? I know most people would say just go buy a new truck, but I want to see if it's possible. And if so will it be less expensive than buying a new one. Looking at buying a house back east and my wife want to get rid of her Xterra. Haveing money for a new truck will not be possible. I want the crew cab because we have a son and planing on having another one within the next year or so. Right now with the supercab, he is facing forward in the center in the rear, and his feet are on the center councel. can't put the seat up anymore.
