Exactly, go with OEM Parts.

why is that? maybe on a brand new truck but a truck that is 10 yrs old? really the only issue i had with any aftermarket was the grille was a little short where it meets the fenders, and i had to elongate 1 hole slightly on the passanger side fender, i would go aftermarket again in a heart beat

Cause when I put OEM parts from a truck that was 7 years newer on my 2000, EVERYTHING bolted right up. No modifications, nothing. Plus, you know that it is built right then. Do the replacement bumpers have to undergo crash testing?

Ya true... I'm even kinda nervous about getting the RanchHand bumpers for my F150... I dunno how they'd react in a head on collision.

Ranch Hand bumpers would probably kick the crap out of whatever you hit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes this ...

here are a couple examples
front fender $55
box side 400
bumper 100 (at junkyard for good one)
mirror 35-40
hood 150
and i didnt do a winshield or fuel door when i wrecked mine

but my total is 735 for aftermarket as compared to 1927 for ford parts, you could also go all used and save even more i would say 3k would make it look better then when you rolled it with and all new paint job, i know when i wrecked mine it cost me about 2100 worth of parts and paint, that was 2 fenders, 2 box sides, passangers door, pananger side mirror, bumper, grille, and hood.

thanks everybody
