Driving Lights behind Grill???

i have a set of hella 500's that have been sitting in garage for a while, and want to do something with them. i was thinking of putting them behind my grill. was wondering if anyone has done this to a 2000 style truck before? i have seen it done on 2004 (new style) before, but not on a 2000. i also have a billet grill, would this block too much of the light from getting to the road.

if any one has pics of lights mounted on 2000 style truck behind grill that would be very helpful.
if not anyone have any suggestions as to what to mount them to? on newer style trucks i saw that brackets were needed.

thanks for any help!

I did this a few months ago on my 2002 with the stock eggcrate grill, but on a billet grill, it would not work as well, depending on how close together the bars are. I cut some brackets out of galvanized angle bracket (the kind with holes every inch) and bolted those down to the plastic brace behind the grill and then bolted the lights to that. Really simple and came out alot better than I expected, since I didn't really plan it out. It's alot easier to do if you take off the whole front grill/headlight trim off the truck. I would mock up the lights and see how much light is blocked by the billet grill before you start drilling holes.

thanks for any help!
