Moonroof Noise

I looked through some of the archives but without a "search" feature it wasn't very productive. Sorry if this is a repeat post.

I have a 2001 SCREW with a factory moonroof. It sounds like the framing inside the roof has come apart. The moonroof still opens and closes, but the framing in the roof makes a lot of racket when I hit a bump.

Has anyone else come across this problem and can the roof interior be taken down easily to access the frame?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Semper Fi,

Doc

On a side note - last weekend I changed the plugs in my truck (5.4L). I found the technical article extremely helpful and recommend anyone undertaking this maintenance task to follow it. I was able to get by without using universal joints.
