roacker panels or whatever they are???
anyone with a 97-03 F150 have their rocker panels or whatever they are(i dont think we have rockerpanels really) rust out.. mine are and i want to replace them.. have any of u done this and what is that piece called.. im gunna try and find the part to order.. thanks.. TIM
You can not buy just the rocker panel metal from Ford. It is the entire Door opening panel (Not cheap List for $500 - $650 per side depending on cab size). Perhaps a company that specializes in rust repair can fabricate them for you.
Yea , my passenger side was purdy much gone after removing the step.
I fabed my own replacement pieces and attached with aluminum rivets.
One piece towards the door jam took me a day and a half to make
So many curves and angles to get right..
I'm not doing that again - I would search out a cab from down south the next time..
JC -Whitney might have pieces , try them - there about the only supplier that might have them that I can think of.

Salvage Yard.
Go to a salavage yard and see if the can get your the panel clipped. The will find a cab that cannot be clipped and cut you the section. Heres and example of cab clip I bought for one of my repair jobs.
