Continual power window problems
The passenger side window on my 97 f150 quit working about a year ago. After removing the motor and re-installing it, it worked for a while. After repeating this process a couple of times (it would always quit working after a few days)... I bought a new motor and am still repeating the process. The window seems to get stuck in the closed position. I can always "bump" it and get it working, but it again sticks.
Anyone else have this problem? Do you know know how to correct it?

You need to ID what's stopping it when it stops. Is the motor getting power? Does the motor still work? If so, then the regulator or glass is binding mechanically. Find where. If it's sticking in the felt runs, spray them with silicone spray lube, or replace them.
Thanks for the suggestions.......
I really think gear arm is binding with the gear on the motor. It has been lubricated each time it has been disassembled. Guess it is time to take the door apart again and try to detect the cause of binding.
thanks again.
