Drivers Side Door Hinge Replacement

I have a 1993 F150 XL 4x4 Regular Cab. The drivers side door hinge is missing the roller so it swings wide open. Also I have to slam it hard to shut it. I have two questions.

1. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive online source of a replacement hinge? The two places I have found it costs $88 (website) and $105 (dealer). The one online looked exactly like the dealers.

2. Can I replace it myself? I have heard some talk about having to remove the fender, but it looks like it might be possible to replace it without doing that. I plan to set something up below the door to hold its weight and then remove the hinge for replacement.

Thanks,
Scott

1. Junkyard, or some people use a hinge rebuild kit from a parts store. They're ~$10 and don't require removing the fender, but they're crap IMO.

Thanks for the reply Steve83. The link you sent looks useful. I think I probably need a new hinge altogether because this the roller has been missing for awhile and the metal of the hinge itself looks worn.

Thanks again,
Scott
