my 02 just recently started doing this too... i was told to just put some 100% silicon around the weather stripping. is this a bad idea?

i took my brake light off, put some weatherstripping from lowes aroudn the light and also sprayed silicone along the window gasket under the brake light. let it sit for a little and ran a hose on it for a good 5-10 with pressure and no leaks, and also its rained and no leaks
