f-150 Rocker Panel Welding
On my 01 f-150 supercrew driver side I'm replacing the uniside piece with areplacement piece . I have the replacement piece in place and have a few spot welds holding it in place. On the top of the cap it mates up nicely:
top of cap mating up but on the bottom of the rocker panel the piece I'm splicing in is about 1/2 inch higher than the rocker panel piece still attached to the frame: Picture of replacment rocker panel 1/2 inch higher than rocker panel still attached to the truck . This is my question: do you use pulls to align the two rocker panel pieces up and hold in place then weld or before you weld get them to natuarlly align up with out being held in place then weld? any experieced body shop people out there who can offer advice would greatly be appreciated.
