Door Lock Actuator Noisy

Hi all,

First post here.

Has anybody encountered this yet? I had a viper alarm installed (manufacturer is DEI). There has been a rattle in both doors, mainly the driver door, that I always attributed to a loose something. I finally got in there to make everything nice and rattle/noise free. The only thing left to make noise is the actuator (again made by DEI). Sure enough if I take it out and bang on the door to simulate a bump, there is no noise. Put the actuator back in and taaaadaaaaaa, noise. When I take the actuator out and slap it against my palm, you can clearly hear the gears/whatever slapping around in there.

I'm looking for a fix. Has anybody tried opening these actuators and greasing the gears? Any cheap replacement actuators? I know I can buy these bad boys for $10ea. at the local tint shop.
