Question door lock jamming

I own a 97 F150 SC and the passenger door lock is not operating as it should. I was going to remove the interior door panel but I was afraid I was going to break it as there is no obvious way to release it. I thought maybe if I pulled on it there would be some sort of fastener that would release and the cover would come off but no such luck.

The electronics are working but it seems as if the lock is jammed.

If anyone has had that cover off and could give me advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hope this will help

If your door locks just won't turn from the outside (using the key of course) try some graphite lube (not powdered like I got but actual liquid inside) and if that doesn't work then some straight silicone lube (wal-mart has the prestone version for 1.75)

Try that first and then if you still need to get into the door shell you will need to.

1. Pinch grip the upper portion near the rear top of your door (the little sliver piece on the next to where your head would be if you were driving) and pull this off. It's just clips
2. Undo the access point next to your door handle (pry it gently with a flathead screwdriver and there should be a little area for you to slide the screwdriver into)
3. Pry (gently) your door lock/window hub on the door with a flat head again. And undo the connections to that panel.

Undo the three now exposed bolts, one in each location, and gently tug the door in an upward direction and then around the door handle
BE CAREFUL as you do this your as bulbs near the rear of the door are going to still be plugged in so undo that and just get busy.

Good luck to you
