My passenger side power window has a slow spot on the way down. When I attempt to roll pass. window down the first 4-5 inches go fine then it struggles for the next 4-5 then continues at normal speed. I pulled panel and lubed everything and could not find a bind. I discoverd that by reaching over from driver side and pulling window toward me it downs flawlessly. It's nice to have long arms but the window stuation is a little embarrasing. Any suggestions??

I had the same problem with both of my windows and the dealership had tried lubing the tranks but that only help for a few thousand miles ultimatley they replaced both windows tracks. That was over 20k miles ago and so far they still work well.

It's another design defect. Along with the door cracks, door ajar switches, door rust through and probably more.

If you really search this site you'll find that these kind of problems are way too common.

Worse part is, most owners haven't ever even found this board to report these problems to each other, let alone NTSB or Consumer Reports.

Mine's been in at least twice that I can remember for the slow windows. Not to mention Door Ajar and Door Cracks.

My passenger side is a little slow about half way down but what the hell it works and after the beating i give this truck once or twice (okay 3xs) a year its a small price to pay.... nothing is perfect NOTHING>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> deal with it bros!!!

I can deal with a slow roller, I just don't want to be posting "How to change window motor" in 3 months. There has got to be alot of extra strain on the motor.
So how much are replacement motors???]

 

Deal with if you have no waranty if you still have some waranty left take it in they will try to lube and after a few months they will start doing it again, take it back there is a corected track to fix this and when lubing fails they will install it. Mine got to the point that the windows would on ocasion not even go all the way down/up.
