Question Door Ajar?

I have a 2001 F150 purchased new in January. Today on the way home, going about 65 mph, the door popped open (so to speak)and the door ajar light came on!!! Thank goodness it was locked, but I held it till the nearest gas station! Is this a defect? My '97 never did this! Opinions please.

Question

Has it happened more than the one time?

In my 98 when I first start the engine my door door ajar light stays on, the dome light is on, and the automatic door locks stay unlocked for a few minutes then eventually the lights go off and the doors lock after I am driving down the road.
