Taigate Lift Assist Device
I was sufing the web about a week ago and came across a device that assists in lowering and raising tailgates for easy one handed operation. I didn't pay a lot of attention or bookmark the web site thinking this would be a common aftermarket device and easy to find. WRONG!! Many, many searches later I cannot find this device. Can anybody help?? I belive the device replaces the existing tailgate cables??
I remember seeing that post, the person who came up with the idea made it himself out of some extra garage door springs and some cable. I beleive he had a cap too. Try looking through the General discussion board. If I find it I'll post back.

It should be interesting. But the device I saw was not homemade, it was an aftermarket manufactured product being sold somewhere on the www.

I tried to order one today, unfortunately, it's not available for a Screw! Hopefully they'll redesign it to be fitted for our truck.
