I want to remove my factory nerf bars off my 99 extended cap 4x4. Besides the obvious unbolting of all the bolts holding it on....does anyone have any tips or a GOOD strategy at going about this in a reasonable manner. There seems to be a kind of plastic casing like thing for appearence but it gets in the way of removing some of the bolts.

Just hopin someone might have already had some experience with this
