faded paint

i have a 2000 and i want to replace the stock 4x4 stickers. the ones i want to get arent the exact same size. my paint is black and i wondering if you guys think the paint will be faded bad under them.

They most likely won't be faded underneith them but the surrounding paint will be oxidized around where the sticker is. So the best thing to do is remove the old stick/decal then detail (Buff and polish) the complete panel with an electric hand held buffer with the cotton cutting pad and use 3M's compound used for 1200 scratches and above so that the oxidation is removed and looks consistant all around then apply your sticker, then glaze and wax the complete panel.

THANKS FOR THE HELP. I GUESS I WILL JUST TAKE THE OLD ONES OFF AND ASSESS THE OXIDATION. THANKS
