my outlaw plates

Sometime back in August or September I decided to get myself new plates for my new truck. I drive a '01 Screw. I decided on CREWM. But since I am a Mcihigan State fan, I decided to get the Michigan State plates. So next to CREWM there is a big green S on the left side. Believe it or not... this is read slightly different by some people. I got a letter from the Secretary of State sometime in late November stating that after receiving a complaint, they have deemed my plate to be offensive. They threatened to cancel the plate and wanted me to turn them in. I think that it probably does not hepl that I live in the hometown of the University of Michigan. Well, I am still in my battle with the secretary of State. I will try to get a pic up soon, before I lose the plates.

Thats pretty funny I never thought about how it would make someone angry. But I can see how some fans could get a little ticked but hey if you weren't a fan yourself than you wouldn't want to buy a plate that gives part of the money to the school would you.

My alternatives

In my dealings with the Secretary of State, they have already okayed several alternatives, should my plate be revoked. A couple of them are creative responses to UM fans using a U of M plate... It will be well worth the few bucks that goes to their school (read: most likely given directly to the athletic fund). I will keep you all updated.

Saw a movie with the Barbarian Brothers back in the 80's about them driving a 18-wheeler. For good luck they did a ritual everytime before starting the truck which included a Native American headress and some crossed chicken bones. The whole time they were chanting "chickenbone, chickenbone, lucky lucky chickenbone".

I used to drive a S-10 Blazer and when I got the F150 I felt like I was climbing into a "big rig" so hence the vanity plate....

The one on my 1997 F150 is:

14ALL2C

Usually takes people a moment to get it, but they usually do! Lookin to drop my truck with a 3/5 kit and add a Lightning bumper cover too, but can't find much about that mod on a 97.

Got another on my 1978 Z28 thats:

TIZ BAD
