Heya guys,

I have an '03 S'Crew 4x4, but not with the off-road package. I'd like to add the skid-plates... whats the best way?

Maybe buy some used ones from a salvage yard? Or is there after-market?

You can actually order the same skid plates that come in the Fx4 package all by themselves as about a $60.00 option - when you order a new truck. You can also buy them directly from Ford at your local Ford dealer's Parts Department, but I'd be willing to bet they're a bit more than sixty bucks. I'd suggest a bone yard.
