"GOOCHY" Last name Gooch, everybody calls me "GOOCH", so I put Goochy on plate. Wanted GOOCH, but great aunt already had it on her plate, and one per state.

Back about 12 years ago in Texas, this same plate was pulled from someone. There was an article about it in the San Antonio Express News paper. Don't get in BACK of the wrong politician where he can read the plate!

I **** you not.. Here's one I saw in the parking lot at the hospital I work at:
TIKCUF (reverse it) showed it to many coworkers to prove it. Others I've seen in Mass; RSQDVR and just last week driving with my bride I saw BEEJAY.... lucky guy! Had KLASSY from New Hampshire. Applied for CDVILL for my Caddy years ago but they appproved CDUILL by mistake. When I questioned it I learned that I was still assigned my origional MENACE after canceling to relocate out of Mass and elected to get it back. Had it since 1975. It cost $70 a year here in Tax-ya-two-****s, what do other states charge? Happy New Year, Dennis

Cool

Wanted (California) 5150 PhD, but it was taken, dammit. Then I wanted DGEKILR (dodge killer) but to messy and DMV said no killing. So I settled on DR.SNITZ. DR, cuz I am won (worked damn hard for that little bitty piece of paper) and SNITZ is a family nickname, so there you have it. Will try to post a picture next week.

Hey Harley, did for do anything special to fit those fatties under your fenders? I want to get those really bad. But a chip will probably come first.

California MVD has a great site that allows you to search for personalized plates and whether or not they are already taken in CA. (Obviously, my state doesn't have this online.) Now you might wonder why you'd want to search the CA database when you live in Alaska or wherever: First if your idea isn't taken in CA, the land of the personalized plate, then there is a fair chance that your state might have it available. Secondly, a very cool feature is that you can search for partial letter/number combos, and get combinations that you might not have thought of! Then, you can plan out what you want your personalized plates to say for your specific state. (I must be easily amused!)

It's easier to try it than explain it, so if you're interested in fooling around with plate combos, head over to Personalized Plate Search.

Oh, 5150PhD: Didn't do a thing to get those gorgeous fatsos under the fenders -- it just came that way and I love 'em!

Yeah, that's what I used to search my combos the first time. It was helpful, but I didn't realize that there is no difference between an 'O' and a 0 (zero). So when I searched 5150PHD (with a zero) it came back available. But when I went into DMV the woman explained to me the O and 0 thing. But I'm happy with it. Hey can you just cut and paste pictures into the reply area? I want to put in some pictures when i can.

Good hear I can just slap those lovely rims on my ride when I get the big cash to throw at them. Boy that will be sweet.
Happy motoring
