Nerf Bars? Installing?
Anyone here installed nerf bars before? I ordered a set of new westin nerf bars for my truck and was going to install them myself, but am wondering how hard it is to install them and if it's possible to do it as a one man job.
Thanks,
Chris Mibus

No problem. It's a simple bolt on process, no drilling or cutting. Just make sure you know your right from you left (bar). Taking your time, it'll take about 45 mins for the first one and 15 mins for the second (learning curve). A second pair of hands is nice, but can be done without. Lay out the parts before getting started and you won't have any problems.

Ktigre,
I just put on some Westin bars last week and did it as a one man job. Use a set of jack stands to hold the bar level to the truck makes it alot easier to bolt up. Also rmarietta hit it right on the nose, make sure to lay out your parts and take a good long look at them to be sure you have everything in its spot! The hardest part about it is getting the damn brackets in the holes then getting the nuts on there. If you have a buddy that will help you out then you will be done in a half hour no problem. Good luck they are great looking bars!! I also threw on a set of chrome bed caps and rails to accent it. All together it only cost about $350 for all the parts and I think it looks great!
